IQNA – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has urged Muslim countries to sever ties with the Israeli regime and refrain from helping the regime in its genocide against Palestinians.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks on Tuesday morning in a meeting with the organizers of the National Congress for the Commemoration of the 22,000 Martyrs from Tehran Province.

“At times, the statements and positions taken by officials in Islamic countries are wrong because they discuss issues like the Gaza ceasefire which is beyond their control and is subject to the influence of the hostile Zionist enemy,” he said.

Muslim countries’ officials must adopt measures on issues that they have control over, Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding, “What lies within the purview of officials in Islamic countries is the ability to cut the vital lifelines to the Zionist regime.”

“It is imperative for Islamic nations to sever political and economic ties with the Zionist regime, refraining from any form of assistance,” he stressed.

“Despite the shortcomings of Islamic countries officials and all the challenges, as emphasized in the Quran, God stands by the faithful and wherever God's presence is felt, victory is assured,” he said.
