The protesters, who braved the rain, waved Palestinian flags and held banners that denounced Israel's military aggression. They called for an end to the siege of Gaza. Some of the banners read: "End the genocide", "I stand with Gaza" and "Stop Israeli crimes".
After the prayer, the protesters chanted slogans such as "Free, Free Palestine", "End siege in Gaza now" and "Cease-fire now". They also urged the US government to stop its financial and military support to Israel.
The protest coincided with the collapse of a week-long truces between the Israeli regime and Hamas on Friday.
