Prison in Algeria Commemorates 150 Inmates Who Memorized Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A prison in Algiers commemorated 150 inmates who managed to commit the Holy Quran to memory.

This was part of the 13^th edition of national Quran competition for inmates held during the fasting month of Ramadan.

More than 10,000 inmates had taken part in the contest which was held in three categories, including memorization and tarteel recitation.

Meanwhile, judicial authorities will pardon or commute sentences of some of the inmates who won top ranks in the competition, according to the New Arab.
