Quran, Etrat and Health Nat’l Conference Kicks Off in Qom
Senior university and seminary scholars and professors as well as officials are taking part in the two-day event, which is being hosted by the Imam Khomeini Higher Education Center.
Internationalization of the role of Quran and Etrat in health system, role of young medical society in development of discourse of Quran and science, role of Quranic elites of the medical society in promotion of recitation, and Fiqh and medical ethics from viewpoint of Quran and Etrat are among the themes of the conference.
Addressing the opening ceremony, President of Qom University of Medical Sciences Mehdi Mesri said the conference is annually organized by the Academy of Medical Sciences.
He said the Holy Quran is the book of guidance and its teachings can help give directions to the culture of health.
He added that the health culture should include spiritual teachings and that should be the approach to sciences in a divine worldview.
The four panels of the scholarly event will be held today and tomorrow before the closing ceremony on Friday afternoon.
