Quran TV, Radio Channels Cooperate in Holding 1454 Plan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Implementation of the “1454” Quranic Plan will start soon with the cooperation of Iran’s Quran TV, a number of Radio channels and cultural and religious institutes.

The Quranic plan is annually organized in summer with the aim of promoting memorization of the Holy Book and spreading the Quranic culture in society. 

In a press conference held in Tehran last week, it was announced that 10 radio channels of the country will cooperate with the Quran TV in implementing the program.  

Mehdi Qarasheikhlu, head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Center, said at the press conference that all of the capacities of the organization will be used in the plan.   

The motto of this year’s plan is “Family and Peace”, according to its policymaking council.

Every week, a special theme will be discussed based on related Quranic verses.

“Peace and the Quran”, “Economy in the Quran”, “Health and Hygiene”, “Social Relations” and “Quran, Book of Life” are some of the themes.

This is the 1454^th year since the revelation of the Holy Quran to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and hence the name “1454”.

The previous editions of the plan featured various Surahs (chapters) of the Quran.

They included programs and lessons on the concepts of the Surahs and competitions at the conclusion of the plan.
