His recitation was meaning-based, that is to say, he would change his tone based on the meaning of the verses.
He was among the golden generation of Egyptian qaris along with masters such as Abolainain Shoaisha, Shahat Muhammad Anwar, and Muhammad Al-Hilbawi.
Akasha was born in 1948. He went to a Maktab (traditional Quran school) at the age of four to memorize the Holy Book and after learning Tajweed, received a Quran memorization certificate at 9.
At the age of 16, he went to Cairo and started reciting Adhan (call to prayer) at a mosque in the Egyptian capital.
He later studied at Al-Azhar Islamic University.
Akasha tenía una voz atractiva y poderosa. Entre las características distintivas de sus recitaciones está que cambió el tono de voz mientras recitaba el Corán y puso énfasis de acuerdo con el significado durante su recitación.
Akasha ha visitado Irán tres veces en su vida. Su primera visita fue en 2011, cuando recitó versos del Sagrado Corán en presencia del líder de la revolución islámica.
