Dehli’s Jama Masjid; Largest Mosque in Indian Capital

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Also known as Masjid-i Jehan-Numa, Jama Masjid of Delhi is considered the biggest mosque in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
Built in the 17th century upon the order of Shah Jahan, the mosque has three gates and a big courtyard that can host some 25,000 worshippers. Red sandstone and white and black marble are among the main materials used in its construction.
