TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s online Quran exhibition will be held on May 1-10, an official said.

Morteza Khedmatkar, director general of the Islamic Culture and Guidance Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Department, said registration for Quran institutes and organizations as well as publishers willing to take part in the expo will start on Monday and continue for five days.

He added that the exhibition will run from the 18th to 27th day of the holy month of Ramadan.

The virtual expo is going to be held instead of the annual international Quran exhibition that was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

The expo showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

The novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, has infected more than 109 million people around the world.

The outbreak has had a major impact on global sporting, cultural, religious and political events, with a host of events canceled or postponed.
