Ghadhi bin Fahd al-Zabiyani, an official with the organizing committee, said those taking the course were given lessons on proper pronunciation of the letters and words, Gulf365 website reported.
He added that they also learned more about Uthmani script and its features.
According to the official 50 expatriates from 13 countries took the online course.
He said it was aimed at enhancing the Quranic skills of memorizers and Quran teachers.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the disease, many Quranic programs in different countries have gone online.
