Turkish Woman Starts Learning Quran at 66
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A 66-year-old woman in Turkey has always wanted to learn the Quran but has only recently found the opportunity to do it.
Halima Bayramughlu lives in Gaziantep, a city in the western
part of Turkey's Southeastern Anatolia Region, according to ilkha.com.
While she has sought to learn the Quran since early
childhood, Halima did not find the right opportunity then.
But now she is attending Quranic classes to see her wish finally come true.
"My husband tells me it is difficult for me to go to classes at this age… but I am sure that, God Willing, I can do it. It is just the beginning but I will reach my objective through efforts and practice,” she says.
She thanks the organizers of the Quranic classes for providing everyone with the opportunity to learn reading the Quran.
The Quranic classes are organized by the city’s religious affairs department.
